A girl named Nadia

“Mark, this is Nadia and she just prayed to receive Christ with me!”

That is what Brynn, one of our Sophomore student leaders, said to me just before our Cru meeting a few weeks ago.  Nadia had grown up in a Muslim home here in the states but had heard about Jesus and, over time, had decided that she wanted to know more.  Brynn invited her to come to Cru and, before the meeting even started, Brynn got into a conversation with her about Jesus which led to Nadia asking Christ to be her savior.

This week Brynn, Nadia, and MaKenzie (an adult volunteer) got together for a follow-up Bible study.  MaKenzie told me that Nadia was so excited to learn more about the Bible and that they will be getting together again next week.

A few weeks before I met Nadia, we had our annual 200 foot banana split outreach at Fishers High School.  250 students came out to eat ice cream and hear about Cru.  Nick, a former student, shared the gospel that night and 15 students indicated that they prayed to receive Christ.  It was a messy night, but it is so exciting to see how open these students are to the gospel.  Thank you so much for the investment you are making in their lives.  You don’t even know them, but because you give and pray, they will now spend eternity in Heaven with Jesus. Thank you, thank you, thank you!  God is using your investment!

  • Praise God for the great turn out at the Banana split and the many people who have asked Christ to come into their lives in these first few weeks of school.
  • Please pray for Nadia and the other new believers in our ministry.  Pray for our volunteers and student leaders as they lead them in follow-up Bible studies.
  • Pray for Mark as he trains our two new staff guys – William and Will.
  • Pray for our family as we now have a teenager in the house!  Gabe just turned 13 and is in Junior High School now!
