Katherine was abandoned under a bridge in Zhenjiang, China. Just days old, someone found her and brought her to an orphanage where she has lived the past year waiting for a family to love her.
Six years ago, Dawn and I started down the wonderful road of adoption. Our, then, 1 1/2 year plan to adopt a baby girl from Ethiopia took a few twists and turns and has grown into six years of waiting. More than once we have asked in discouragement, “Why is this taking so long?” This was not our plan. But in October of 2014, we were placed with a beautiful little girl from China that quickly stole our hearts.
In January of 2015, we hopped on a plane to go get Kate. The videos below are a record of our adventure in China to Bring Kate Home. We hope you enjoy taking part in this journey with us!
Mark and Dawn Michal.
